Beaucrest Arabians was created in 1991 with the purchase of an Arabian, Bask & Crabbet bred mare who "came with a breeding". DD Wildflower had been trained as a show horse but I bought her for pleasure riding. And, she was a great pleasure to me, this faithful mare, until she passed away at 21 years of age. DD Wildflower was my first broodmare and when her foal was born, I was hooked as a breeder forever.

That was the start of 18 years of a breeding program which has produced BJ Thee Mustafa, 1998 Triple Crown Winner of Europe, World Champion, Aachen Champion, Platin Cup Champion and European Champion.

We are also very pleased to have bred the straight Egyptian mare, BJ Thee Arabella - Supreme Champion Mare 2004 The Egyptian Event, and US National Top Ten Mare, 2005.

As a very small breeder, we only breed our mares when it seems "right". We've had great success with Thee Desperado, The Minstril, Thee Outlaw, Marwan Al Shaqab and now, Laheeb, among others. Every stallion we've selected to breed to our mares, has just said to us - this is it! My husband, John, and I come from art and creative backgrounds and our breeding decisions have always been determined by how we feel about which stallion best suits our mares.

Beaucrest pastures with mountainview

Beaucrest Arabians is nestled in the hills and fruit orchards 30 minutes from Palm Springs, California, and 3200 feet closer to Heaven. We have spectacular views of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio mountains and our property line abuts 400 acres of riding trails and National Forrest.

Welcoming a new foal

Our horses have been sold to HRH King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, to Italy, to Iran and to Australia, and of course, to America. For such a small breeder, this is a wonder and proof that the Arabian horse truly unites the world.
